In order to work on editing Season 3 down to publishable albums I thought I'd start by separating out the different sections of each episode. Effectively that means I've shuffled the episodes round.
The final (roughly 20 minutes) section of each episode was an improvisation over a drum loop. I'd been starting to gear up with band and wanted to stretch a little. If Essences were going to be “out there”, Orbits would be minmal, drone, head nodding ambiences.
Of course it didn't come out the sharply defined because it's all still me and a guitar plus a little bit of a loop - there's an internal consistency even when I'm covering a lot of ground.
The editing is going really well - highlight albums will be coming soon - I've even got some new cover art done for them…
